Polycystic Ovary Syndrome or more commonly referred to as PCOS, is a common problem found among women of reproductive age.

It is an endocrine system disorder that causes hormonal imbalances and can lead to the growth of ovarian cysts (benign masses on the ovaries).

PCOS can cause problems with a women’s menstrual cycle, fertility, cardiac function and appearance as well.

One of the main causes of PCOS is the excessive production of the male sex hormone called Androgen, which is in turn caused by excess insulin.

Being a common issue amongst women, it is important that every woman is aware about the various factors behind PCOS.

Do away with medication, since the number one treatment for PCOS is regular workout and a healthy diet. Secondly, regular exercise is also an effective way to improve insulin levels, the increase in which, also leads to PCOS.
