A urinary tract infection (UTI) is an infection that occures in any part of your urinary system - kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. Urinary tract infections can be caused by a number of factors such as poor hygiene, impaired immune function, the overuse of antibiotics, the use of spermicides, and sexual intercourse.
