Jaipur, Mar 30: People in the pink city were in for a surprise today as Junior B, Abhishek Bachchan walked the ramp on the occasion of the Rajasthan Day celebrations.
With the organisers keeping the names of the stars who will descend under tight wraps, the public were awe-struck as the hero of 'Yuva' and 'Dhoom' emerged, while his mother Jaya Bachchan watched from the audience in albert museum premises.
"We wanted to avoid the crowd by not announcing the celebrity's name beforehand," tourism secretary Vinod Zutshi said.
Abhishek, wearing an outfit designed by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, drew repeated rounds of applause from the audience, largely comprising of girls.
Earlier on the last day of Rajasthan Day celebrations, Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat witnessed a grand finale of 'Shobha Yatra' followed by a firework display towards the evening.
Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje unveiled a statue of Swai Man Singh, ex-ruler of the Jaipur state, which was installed in front of the Albert Museum.
