Aman Kachroo death: Charge sheet filed against four

Five months after the death of first year MBBS student Aman Kachroo due to ragging, a charge sheet was filed against four arrested seniors in a court here on Tuesday.

of first year MBBS student Aman Kachroo due to ragging, a
charge sheet was filed against four arrested seniors in a
court here on Tuesday.

The charge sheet was filed in the Fast Track Court
here under section 302/342, 323-C, 506 and sub section 34 of
IPC (related to death, beating and issuing threat), according
to District Deputy Attorney B K Marwah.

The Fast Track court judge Pushpinder Vaid fixed
October 23 as the next date of hearing in the case.

The four seniors of Dr Rajendra Prasad Government
Medical College Tanda in Himachal Pradesh Kangra district --
Mukul Verma, Ajay Verma, Abhinav Sharma and Ajay Kumar -- were
arrested soon after death of Aman on March 8.

They have been languishing in jail since then.
The death of the young medico sent shock waves across
the country forcing the Supreme Court and the Union Human
Resource Development ministry to intervene.
