Puri, Oct 10: A day before his 64th
birthday, tourists flocked to a sand sculpture of Bollywood
icon Amitabh Bachchan on the sea beach of the tourist resort.
The sculpture was created by internationally acclaimed
sand artiste Sudarshan Pattnaik and his students, to wish
the legendary versatile actor 'happy birth day'.
"We used 64 bags of sand to create the image which is our
gift to the megastar", Pattnaik told mediapersons.
It took the artistes four hours to carve out the
sculpture. "We will send a photograph of this sculpture to
Bachchan", he said.
Pattnaik had also shaped an image of the 'Big B' on the
Konark Sea Beach, close to the sun temple, several months ago
when he had taken ill to wish him 'speedy recovery'.
