Douglas slips while pouring rum on the roof in the Bahamas!

Veteran actor Michael Douglas luckily escaped getting hurt after he briefly lost his footing while standing in a cherry-picker basket 25 feet in the air while attempting to inaugurate a new art museum in Bermuda.

Washington, Dec 01: Veteran actor Michael Douglas luckily escaped getting hurt after he briefly lost his footing while standing in a cherry-picker basket 25 feet in the air while attempting to inaugurate a new art museum in Bermuda.
Douglas, a benefactor of the Masterworks Museum of Bermuda Art, was pouring rum on the roof in a traditional regional "roof-wetting" ceremony but managed to steady himself.

The 62-year-old star later downplayed the incident.

"I had a good laugh and stumbled. I had a little moment," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.

The 9 million dollar museum scheduled to open next year, will house the Masterworks Bermudiana Collection, including works depicting the island by Winslow Homer and Georgia O'Keeffe.

"It will be a wonderful asset for the island," said Douglas, who owns a home in the British Atlantic territory with his actress wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.Douglas, won an Oscar for his role in 1987's "Wall Street." He has also starred in "Fatal Attraction," "Traffic" and "Wonder Boys," among other films.
