In rupee terms the exports were up 20.31 percent to Rs

"The export performance of electronics hardware during
2005-06 was impressive as compared to the previous year
riding mainly on the performance of three segments like
consumer electronics, instruments, telecom equipments and
cables," ESC executive director D K Sareen said in a release.

Export of telecom equipment from India grew 42.86 per
cent to Rs 500 crore in 2005-06, it said.

enhancing the electronics hardware exports from the country.

Significantly, world trade in electronics hardware
exports, particularly the telecom equipment and accessories,

capitalize on the expanding trade," Sareen said.
