Venkateshwara Rao, a man from a district in Andhra Pradesh plays with snakes performs with them for school children, gets bitten by them without getting hurt, and polishes off their poison with relish.
It gives him a high equal to taking in a quarter bottle of alcohol. “By licking venom I get kick just like after having one quarter bottle of liquor,` says the wonderful guy.
Stranger than that, he has no side effects! He has been playing with snakes since childhood (what playmates…), as he says himself ``I go to jungles...catch snakes...take out poison and lick it...I have been doing it since childhood...nothing happens to me.”
He learnt it all from his father, who in this matter was really the senior of the two, “once, after a snake bite, my father`s blood fell on ground...our dog licked it and died but nothing happened to my father,`` says Manemma, Venkateshwara’s sister.
