Bangalore, Sept 27: Ahead of their seven-match one day series against India, Australian captain Ricky Ponting has said that India’s Twenty20 World Cup win is a thing of the past now. Putting the onus on the Indian team, Ponting said, “Dhoni’s men will be under pressure after India’s T20 World Cup win.”
Showing aggressive attitude right from the start, Ricky Ponting said that Australian team always wants to win every game they play and this tour will be no different.

Ponting also showered praise on Dhoni’s leadership saying he has done a good job as the skipper of Team India.

On Sreesanth’s behavior in the semi-finals against Australia, Ricky Ponting said that one needs a character or two like Sreesanth in the team.

Australia’s Twenty20 venture did not prove to be as good as their Caribbean World Cup win. In their opening match of Twenty20 World Cup, Australia lost to Zimbabwe by 5 wickets.

Initially deemed as one of the firm favourites to lift the Twenty20 World Cup trophy, Australia then suffered a defeat against India in the semi-finals and were ousted from the tournament after that.
