Japanese police raiding Mitsubishi Motors Tokyo headquarters after the arrest of seven of the company's former executives..

They are suspected of trying to avoid a costly recall by hiding a fatal flaw in truck wheel that is thought to have caused more than 50 accidents.

Mitsubishi Motors chief apologised for what has happened but he knows it is bad news for his debt laden company which has just lost the backing of its biggest shareholder DaimlerChrysler.

Japan's Transport Minister has also filed a criminal complaint with the police, saying falsifying reports was evil.
