Well, many say that your skin is a reflection of your inside beauty. So keeping up with this cliché, the very first step on our list too is to go in for magical five steps to skin care. Cleansing, scrubbing, face pack and moisturizing.

Cleansing: Wash your face thoroughly with any mild cleanser. If your skin has acne or is sensitive go in for an oil and alcohol free cleanser. However if it’s dry go for a foamy moisture containing cleanser.

Scrubbing: If you are looking for that radiant skin then an exfoliating face scrub is a must. Make sure that you gently rub the scrub in a circular motion over your face. Massage your face for about five minutes and then rinse it thoroughly with ice cold water to close those freshly opened pores.

Face Pack: A good face pack not only makes your skin firm but also closes down those deadly pores that house those unwanted face guests - blackheads. Though one can find a wide range of face scrubs claiming miracle like qualities, an easy and effortless face pack that is sure to have good result can be made in your very own kitchen. All you need is an egg, honey and curd.

Mix two spoons of egg white with one and a half teaspoon of honey and three spoons of curd. Stir it well till it becomes thick and apply it evenly on your face and neck. (The egg here is to make the skin firm, honey is for shimmering glow and curd is to act as a coolant to sooth your skin)

Leave the pack on for ten minutes and then clear the pack with some wet cotton.

Moisturising: Once through apply a lightweight illumination moistiuriser to get that natural glow look.

Make Up

Make up is that thin line that can make or break you depending upon the way its put. Never use too much of make up. Yes this statement by our parents and before them grandparents holds true today as well.

Your make up should be as subtle as possible. Don’t go overboard and try to get that natural look. In other words, pack away that thick rose coloured face powder and those heavy mascaras.

Decide on your asset and highlight it for e.g. if it’s the perfectly shaped collar bone that you wish to show off dab some gold shimmer upon it and make sure it merges well with your skin tone.

But if it’s that flawless face that you wish to highlight then go in for a breezy light blusher look. Use pastel coloured blusher that merges well with your skin colour. Make sure to dab some on you neck too.

Now, comes the LIPS ladies. Use a lip colour with a high moisturizer content that stays on longer. In order to give a perfect definition to your lips use an lip liner. The colour of the lip-gloss shall depend upon your dress. One can even go for a transparent gloss to give the natural shine effect.

They are the latest make up trend and they surely make you look super gorgeous. Yes, we are talking of the smoked eye look The smoky eye effect not only gives that oomph mysterious look but also gets you the ramp walking diva panache. There are various ways to do smoky eyes make up. One tested ways goes as follows:

1. The first step here is to go for a eyeshadow base (Primer). An eyeshawdow base is essential to avoid the eye shadow from melting and smudging around the eye. Apply a bit of the primer before shadow application.

2. If you`re going for a typical black, brown or gray smoky eye look, apply liner in one of those colours above the upper lash line, drawing line thicker in the middle of eye. If you’re opting for a jewel-toned eye (violet makes a gorgeous smoky eye), line eyes with a purple, blue or deep green liner.

3. Blend in colour on bottom lashes For colour on the bottom (a key smoky eye look) you`ll want a lighter eyeliner. The key is to "smudge it." You can also apply a bit of shadow to get full smudge effect.

4. Apply light base colour. The key to a smoky eye is pairing a lighter base with the darker hue. I prefer a nice cream shade for my base. Sweep a light, shimmering shadow over the lids to your browbone.

5. Blend in darker colour, but keep dark colour below the crease. Now that you have the base and eyeliner on, it`s time to get the smoky effect. You need a darker eyeshadow shade. Make sure to blend colour into the lash line so the eyeliner disappears. Stop deep colour at crease.

6. The last and the most important tip go for volumising mascara. There are several mascara available on shop shelves but make sure that you go for a lightweight one that is water resistant.

Now remember, once you have done the smoky eye make up STOP right there. Do remember to keep lips nude. When applying strong makeup (like smoky eyes or red lips) put the focus on either eyes or lips, never both.

Once you are done with that absolutely gorgeous make up, here are certain clothing and accessory tips:

1. Go for bold prints and graphic designs: When you go in for bold and graphic prints they immediately attract attention so there is no need for you to accessorise much. Always go for a simple bracelet of a nice pair of danglers if you are wearing such prints. Minimal make up and a tote bag are a must.

2. Don’t mix in twenty different looks: Be as subtle as possible. Your dress should not shout for attention.

3. Accesorise less and still look hot: If you don’t wish to accessorise much then wear a dress that has a hint of any metallic colour be it silver or gold. Wear slippers with a silver beading and apply some shimmer on your neck and cheeks to get that classy chic look.
