Long-term planning needed: Koda

Madhu Koda on Sunday said his government was keen in
public-private partnership in core infrastructure sectors.

"Keeping note of the population growth over the next five
years, the state requires a strong infrastructure in civic
amenities like sewage, water-supply, road transport through
road net-work and town planning" Koda said.

Stating that the government favoured outsourcing in sector
like township planning and four-lane roads, the Chief Minister
said "We are in favour of the public-private partnership
concept in our endeavour to develop the state".

He welcomed desirous investors to Jharkhand from other
states.

"Apart from important infrastructural development in
cities like Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Dhanbad and professional
educational institutes, the state government is also keen to
develop villages", Koda said.

Stressing on the need for a long-term planning for
beautification and development of cities, Koda said the state
government's priority was to boost to state`s growth.

Emphasising the need to develop numerous waterfalls in
Jharkhand, the Chief Minister said "Eco-tourism is another
area which the government intends to work, particularly
raising the pilgrim towns Deogarh and Parasnath to
international standard".
