London, April 01: Oscar winning actress Dame Helen Mirren has rejected her status as a sex symbol and says she is just a simple woman.
“I think of myself as an Essex girl battling through life. How other people see me is another matter, but I can’t control that,” the 62-year-old, who won an Oscar for her performance in “The Queen”, was quoted as saying by The Sun.
Mirren said so while promoting her autobiography.
