Soz lambastes Rajnath on separate enclaves for Pandits

Union Minister for Water Resources Saifuddin Soz on Monday lambasted BJP president Rajnath Singh for his demand to create separate enclaves for Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley and `nationalisation of the route` to Amarnath shrine.

Srinagar, Sept 15: Union Minister for Water Resources
Saifuddin Soz on Monday lambasted BJP president Rajnath Singh for
his demand to create separate enclaves for Kashmiri Pandits in
the Valley and 'nationalisation of the route' to Amarnath
shrine.

"Such remarks from a responsible functionary of a
national party could only be aimed at weakening the internal
unity of not only Jammu and Kashmir but of the entire
country," Soz said in a statement in Srinagar.

Soz, who is also the JKPCC president, described Rajnath's
remarks as "preposterous" and "disruptive".

The JKPCC chief also said the BJP president seemed to be
"confused" while advocating "nationalisation of the Amarnath
route", forgetting that the issue has been settled amicably.

Soz said Kashmiri Pandits are an integral part of Kashmir
and every Kashmiri Muslim is keen that they return.

"The Prime Minister, earlier this year had announced a
special package for their return, which had been widely
acclaimed by the Pandits," he added.
