Melbourne, Jan 31: India captain MS Dhoni on Thursday said that the T20 clash against Australia would be a perfect platform to serve as a warm up for the Tri-Series that will follow. Sri Lanka have also joined the two teams Down under for the most anticipated ODI series of the year.
India, who won the inaugural Twenty20 World Cup last year, will be without injured fast bowler Rudra Pratap Singh and batsman Yuvraj Singh for Friday`s match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
"We will take the Twenty20 as one of the practice games," Dhoni told reporters.
"We will look to win but the reserve guys have come in and joined the squad so we need to get the best out of it, and hopefully the weather will be better for cricket tomorrow," he added.
