Dibrugarh, Oct 09: The banned ULFA has called for a day-long Assam's Sibsagar district bandh today to protest the killing of one of its members.
The ULFA gave the bandh call to protest the killing of "Corporal" Debojit on October six.

The call for the bandh was given to reporters here over telephone by Ankur Sarma, an ULFA cadre, following "an order" from the "executive commanding officer" of the 28 battalion Prabal Neog.

The police has tightened security measures throughout the district, regarded as a ULFA stronghold, in view of the bandh.
