New Delhi: Two people were killed including a police personnel in a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore on Monday (March 29, 2021). As per the latest reports, the area has been cordoned off and a search operation is underway.

The Kashmir Zone Police confirmed that cop Shafat Ahmad and councillor Riyaz Ahmad lost their lives in the terror incident, whereas, another councillor Shams-ud-din Peer sustained injuries. 

"Injured shifted to hospital for treatment. Area cordoned off and further details shall follow," said the Kashmir Zone Police.

A Municipal council meeting which was being chaired by Fareeda Khan, a BDC chairman and also State Secretary of BJP,  was attacked by unidentified terrorist/terrorists.
