Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who chaired the meeting, later in a virtual conference said 'the move will help propel Delhi's economy'. He said reviving the economy will be a serious challenge but it can be achieved with cooperation of people.

Kejriwal added that city traders and industrialists had demanded for the lowering of diesel price.

The Delhi government also delinked the hotels that had tie-ups with hospitals to increase the COVID-19 beds in the national capital. The decision was taken in light of reducing numbers of COVID-19 patients in the Union Territory.
