The Kalyanpur constituency that’s falls in the Kanpur Lok Sabha seat has been largely dominated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), though, Congress and Samajwadi Party have also won the seat time and again.

From Samajwadi Party (SP) Satish Kumar Nigam has contested the election from the Kalyanpur seat while the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) has fielded Arun Misra against the rivals.

As per his polls nomination filing, Nigam is a postgraduate in science and also holds a law degree.

Mayawati’s Bahujan Samajwadi Party has fielded Arun Misra, for the 2022 assembly elections.
Notably, BSP has never won the Kalyanpur seat in the assembly elections.

AAP has nominated Aroon Kumar, 68, as its candidate for the 2022 assembly elections and he is a graduate by qualification.
The candidate has zero criminal cases pending against him.
