They also asked airlines not to increase the number of flights.

Several places around the world have imposed curbs on travellers from China amid a COVID-19 surge after Beijing relaxed strict "zero-COVID" measures. They cite a lack of information from China on variants and are concerned about a wave of infections.
List of rules for travellers from China:
INDIA: Our country has mandated a COVID-19 negative test report for travellers arriving from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand, the health minister said. Passengers from those countries will be put under quarantine if they showed symptoms of COVID-19 or tested positive.
JAPAN: This country will require a negative COVID-19 test upon arrival for travellers from mainland China. Those who test positive will be required to quarantine for seven days. New border measures for China will go into effect at midnight on Dec. 30. The government will also limit requests from airlines to increase flights to China. Hong Kong's government has asked Japan to withdraw a restriction that requires passenger flights from the financial hub to land at four designated Japanese airports, saying the decision will affect about 60,000 passengers.
UNITED STATES: The U.S. will impose mandatory COVID-19 tests on travelers from China beginning on Jan. 5. All air passengers 2 and older will require a negative result from a test no more than two days before departure from China, Hong Kong or Macau. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also said Americans should also reconsider travel to China, Hong Kong and Macau.
ITALY: The country has ordered COVID-19 antigen swabs and virus sequencing for all travellers coming from China. Milan's main airport, Malpensa, had already started testing passengers arriving from Beijing and Shanghai.
TAIWAN: Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Centre said all passengers arriving on direct flights from China, as well as by boat at two offshore islands, will have to take PCR tests upon arrival. Taiwan will test arrivals from China for COVID-19 starting Jan. 1.

Coronavirus Outbreak: India reports 188 new cases of COVID infections
Amid growing concerns over rising Covid-19 cases in China, India on Wednesday reported a rise in active cases of coronavirus to 3,468, according to the latest Union Health Ministry data. With 188 new cases of coronavirus infections, the Covid tally has been recorded at 4.46 crore (4,46,77,647). The death toll stands at 5,30,696, the data updated at 8 am stated. The daily positivity rate was recorded at 0.14 per cent, while the weekly positivity was pegged at 0.18 per cent, the ministry said. It said 1,34,995 tests for the detection of Covid have been conducted in the last 24 hours.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said on Monday that health ministers of all states will participate at their level in the 'mock drill' to be organized in all Covid hospitals across the country as a precautionary measure amid the increase in infection cases in China and other countries. However, experts say that India need not worry too much about the BF.7 subtype as many people have developed immunity against the virus.

After a person who recently returned from China tested positive in Uttar Pradesh, state Health Minister Brajesh Pathak on Monday appealed to those who had recently returned from foreign travel to stay at home till they do not get Covid-19 investigated. Special arrangements have been made for the RTPCR and Repeat Antigen test at Gorakhpur railway station in Uttar Pradesh. RTPCR and antigen tests are being done there.

Coronavirus In India: Arvind Kejriwal's govt approves THIS huge budget for hospitals
The Delhi government has approved a budget of Rs 104 crore for hospitals to purchase generic medicines as part of preparedness to deal with emergency situations. In a review meeting, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia directed the heads of government hospitals to share details of beds, ventilators, ICUs, human resources, oxygen plants and medical equipment with the health department by evening. During the second wave of Covid last year, there was a shortage of oxygen in many hospitals in the country.
