Domestic Airlines have been requested to cap maximum fare around INR 10,000 on longer routes & around INR 8000 on shorter routes to/from Kerala. In addition, DGCA is constantly monitoring airfares on 32 direct routes operating to/from Trivandrum, Calicut, Coimbatore and Mangalore.

Ministry of Civil Aviation has mounted 19 additional arrival/departure flights to/from Trivandrum, Calicut and Coimbatore airports. Nine foreign carriers operating to Cochin have also rescheduled their flights to/from Trivandrum.

The Defence Ministry provided relief material for rescue operations in Kerala, as reported by ANI. The ministry provided 1300 life jackets, 571 lifebuoys, 1000 raincoats, 1300 gumboots, 1200 ready-to-eat meal, 1500 food packets, 25 motorised boats and 9 non-motorised boats.

Southern Railway dispatched 7 BRN wagons with syntax tank carrying 2.8 lakh litre drinking water from Tamil Nadu's Erode at 4 pm, ANI reported. 15 BRN flat wagons with Syntax water tanks being moved from Chennai to Erode.
