Mumbai Retains The Title Of Most Expensive City In India For Second Year In Row
The financial capital of India, Mumbai has retained its position as the most expensive city in the country. The list has been released by the global consulting firm, Mercer, which conducted the survey. The reports concluded that rental costs increase of 13 to 15% in 2023 compared to the previous year.
Mumbai is followed by Bengaluru, New Delhi as the second and third expensive cities in the country. The report states that Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune offer affordable housing alternative with lodging expenses nearly 50% lower compared to Mumbai.
