Another lie related to agricultural reforms is being spread about the APMC i.e. our mandis.
What have we done in law? We have given freedom to farmers in the law, given a new option. In the new law, we have only said that whether the farmer sells in the market or outside, it will be his will. Now, where the farmer will get benefit, he will sell his produce. Not a single market has been closed after the new law.
Then why is this lie being spread? The truth is that our government is spending more than 500 crore rupees on modernizing APMC, computerization of them.

The MSP on wheat at the time of the previous government was Rs 1400 per quintal.
Our government is paying 1975 rupees MSP per quintal of wheat.
The MSP on paddy at the time of the previous government was Rs 1310 per quintal.

During the previous government, the MSP on moong dal was Rs 4500 per quintal.
Our government is paying around Rs 7200 MSP on moong dal.

Satyadev Manjhi, a 60-year-old man from Bihar`s Siwan reached Tikri at Delhi-Haryana border on Thursday after completing a journey of nearly 1,000 kilometres in 11 days on a bicycle to participate in the ongoing farmers` protest against agricultural laws. "It took me 11 days to reach here from Siwan, my home district. I urge the government to take back the three farm laws. I will be here until the movement is not over," Manjhi told ANI.

Farmers to install more tents at Singhu border
Protesting farmers at the Singhu border are making arrangements to install waterproof tents to protect them from the cold weather conditions. "We are preparing ourselves for a longer stay as our fight against black laws will continue. It's getting colder, so we're putting more tents," said a protester.
"PM should talk to the farmers and take back the farm laws. We will not give up our fight against these laws," said Dayal Singh, Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, Punjab.
