JAMMU: Jammu-based activist Sukesh Khajuria has filed a complaint against former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Dr Farooq Abdullah and actor Rishi Kapoor for their recent remarks on Pakistan occupied Kashmir.

Filing the complaint with District Magistrate, Sukesh has sought action against the two under Section 196 of the CrPC.

Abdullah had recently stirred a controversy by saying that the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir belongs to Pakistan and autonomy for both parts of divided Kashmir without changing borders is the only possible solution to the Kashmir problem.

“The (PoK) part which is with Pakistan belongs to the neighbouring country and this side to India. If the Indian government wants peace it will have to talk to Pakistan and conclude that an autonomy be given to us as well as them,” the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister had said.

While addressing a gathering in Uri area, the former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister said, "Till how long the innocent lives will be killed? For seventy years they have been trying to occupy PoK, but have failed and now they say that it's our region."

Backing him, actor Rishi Kapoor said that accepting PoK as part of Pakistan was the only solution to the Kashmir problem.

“Farooq Abdhulla ji, Salaam! Totally agree with you, sir. J&K is ours, and PoK is theirs. This is the only way we can solve our problem.  Accept it, I am 65 years old and I want to see Pakistan before I die. I want my children to see their roots. Bas karva Dijiye. Jai Mata Di!,” the actor had said.

Earlier, a Bihar court had ordered an FIR to be filed against Farooq Abdullah over the remarks. The order was given on a petition filed by a lawyer in Bettiah district in Bihar.
