J&K govt employee suspended for non-compliance of transfer order

JAMMU: A Jammu and Kashmir Secretariat employee has been suspended for alleged non-compliance of a transfer order.

Shabir Ahmad Sheikh, a Junior Stenographer of the J&K Secretariat (Subordinate) Service, was transferred from the office of Chief Executive Officer Jhelum and Tawi Flood Recovery Project and posted in the office of the Advisor to the Chief Minister on November 17, an order by the government said.

The official has not joined at his new place of posting till date and non-compliance of government order by the office has been seriously viewed by the authorities, it said.

"Pending enquiry into his conduct, Sheikh is hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect," the order said.
