J&K: Restaurant owner arrested for selling liqour illegally in Rajouri

The accused has been arrested and a case has been registered at Pouni Police Station.

Jammu: The police have arrested the owner of a roadside restaurant in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on charges of selling liquor illegally.

A team raided the restaurant at Godhar Khalsa after receiving information that a person, Narinder Singh alias Pappu, was selling liquor illegally, an officer said on Tuesday.

He said 144 pouches (250 ml) of liquor, 90 quarters of whisky were seized.

The accused has been arrested and a case has been registered at Pouni Police Station, the officer said.
