Jharkhand woman goes to Kolkata to become air hostess, goes missing mysteriously

A 20-year-old woman from Jharkhand, who went to Kolkata to pursue training to become air hostess, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances. She went missing from her paying guest accommodation on December 10 and there has been no clue about her whereabout since then.

According to Prabhat Khabar, Sushmita Roy, who hails from Gopalpur in Ghatshila near Jamshedpur, was crying inconsolably in her PG on the night of December 10. Her friends said that she had even packed her bag to return home.

However, she received a call on her mobile phone and walked out of her room while talking, leaving all her belongings. When she did not return till the next day, her friends informed her brother, who rushed to Kolkata.

Sushmita’s brother informed the Kalighat police station about his sister going missing. After initial investigation, Sushmita’s father Johar Roy filed a police complaint against six persons, accusing them of kidnapping his daughter.

He feels that the woman has been trapped in some conspiracy.

Police said that they have traced the mobile number from which she received the call on the fateful night, but the phone has been switched off.

The woman was pursuing air-hostess training at a centre in Minto Park in south Kolkata.
