In a world getting increasingly smart thanks to technology, the evolution of condoms has been rather slow.

Not anymore though.

A company called British Condoms recently unveiled i.Con -  an $80 smart condom that brings technological advancements right straight inside bedroom intimacy. The makers claim that the new condom can rate the performance of sex, measure calories burnt by both partners during intercourse, different positions and can even detect Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs).

The lightweight and water-resistant condom itself though is more of a wearable ring that connects to smartphones to transmit data collected using a nano chip and Bluetooth technology. Reports suggest that close to 90,000 people have already pre-ordered i.Con even though there are concerns about privacy. The company though says that the information will be stored anonymously even though the user him or herself has the option of sharing them with friends.
