The juvenile convict of the horrific December 16 gang-rape case was on Sunday released and sent to an NGO after DCW's last ditch effort to block it through a
stay order from the Supreme Court failed, prompting protests by the victim's distraught parents who assailed the Centre and Delhi government for failing to get them justice.

People gathered in large numbers at the Jantar Mantar on Sunday in the national capital to protest against the release of the juvenile convict in the December 16 gangrape case. People held various placards with slogans like, 'Age is not the criteria if crime is rape' and 'We want justice, hang the rapist' among others.
