Mumbai: The makers of Kapil Sharma starrer Firangi have unveiled a brand new song titled Gulbadan featuring Maryam Zakaria.
Sung by Mamta Sharma the song has been composed by Jatinder Shah and jointly penned by Ashraf Ali & Krishna Bhardwaj.
The song is catchy, foot-tapping and probably forms a very significant part of the film.
Firangi is Kapil’s first venture under the banner K9 productions and second film as an actor. He was launched by Abbas-Mustan of the Baazigar fame in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon in 2015. Firangi, directed by Rajiev Dhingra, is set in the backdrop of pre-independent India.
The trailer of the film garnered rave response and the audience is eagerly looking forward to its release.
Kapil hasn’t had a great year so far owing to health issues and infamous spat with former team-member Sunil Grover.
Sharma was at an Ayurvedic centre in Bengaluru a few weeks ago to resurrect his health. Kapil had also made headlines for calling off shoot at the last minute owing to illness and was hospitalised a couple of times in the last two months.
Moreover, The Kapil Sharma Show is off air because the star comedian was badly in need of a break to resurrect his health. However, he has promised to return to TV soon and in a rejuvenated avatar.
At the moment he is busy promoting Firangi, set in the backdrop of undivided India in the 1920s.
Slated to release on November 24, Firangi also stars Ishita Dutta and Monica Gill.
