Medium-intensity earthquakes hit Himachal Pradesh, Assam

The quake hit at 3.31 PM and was at a depth of 120 km in the region of Myanmar with its epicentre at latitude 21.2 degree north and 94.7 degree east, the met office said.

New Delhi: Three medium-intensity earthquakes on Monday hit Himachal Pradesh and Assam.

According to the National Centre for Seismology, two earthquakes measuring 3 and 3.6 on the Richter scale hit Solan and Shimla-Kullu region in Himachal Pradesh.

Solan experienced the jolt at 6:04 pm and Kullu-Shimla region at 7:09 pm. Both occurred at the depth of 10 km.

Before that, another quake measuring 4.2 on the Richter Scale hit the Kokrajhar region of Assam at 1:46 pm.
