New Delhi: It was a chilly morning in the national capital with moderate to dense fog delaying 14 Delhi-bound trains even as the mercury settled at 9 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.
"The minimum temperature was recorded at 9 degrees Celsius at 8.30 AM. The humidity was 90 per cent," a MeT official said.
The visibility was recorded at 400 metres at 5.30 AM which gradually improved to 600 metres at 8.30 AM.
According to railway officials, 14 Delhi-bound trains were reported running late while 23 trains remained cancelled as announced earlier.
The flight operations were normal, according to Delhi Airport's website.
The weatherman has predicted a clear day ahead.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle at 23 and 9 degrees Celsius," the official said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 22.2 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 13 degrees Celsius.
