New Delhi: Delhi`s new Chief Secretary SK Srivastava said Thursday that teams of young and honest officers would soon be at work to make the government people-centric and clamp down on corruption.

"We are committed to providing a people-centric government, and our main focus is on corruption. We will soon form teams of young and honest officers for the job," Srivastava told reporters here after a meeting with Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
"However, all these things will take some time," he said.

A 1980 batch Indian Administrative Services officer, Srivastava was earlier posted in the health ministry. He has replaced DM Spolia, who is now Delhi`s financial commissioner.

The Aam Aadmi Party, formed in November 2012, won 28 of the 70 seats in the Dec 4 Delhi elections, and formed the government with outside support from the Congress, which won eight seats this time after having been in power in Delhi for 15 years.
