The minimum temperature settled at 28 degrees Celsius, which was two notches above normal.
Humidity remained as high as 62 at 8 AM and is expected to rise during the day.

"With rain deficit almost touching 40 per cent, the day temperature is also closing on to the 40 degree mark these days," said a MeT official.
It is going to be partly cloudy during the later half of the day with bleak possibility of rain. The maximum temperature may settle around 38 degrees Celsius, he said.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 37 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 27 degrees Celsius.
