New Delhi: Delhi Lt Governor Najeeb Jung on Saturday sent his report to the Centre on the follow up action in the wake of resignation of the Aam Aadmi Party Government.

Jung has also forwarded the resignation of AAP government to the President along with the report.

Sources said the Lt Governor has sent a "factual report" on the situation in the national capital and has not mentioned whether national capital should be put under a spell of central rule or dissolve the House for holding elections along with Lok Sabha polls.

Meanwhile, AAP national executive member Yogendra Yadav told reporters at a press conference that he has been told that Arvind Kejriwal`s resignation, which was handed over to Jung last night, has been forwarded to President which means it has been accepted.
In a brief letter to Jung, Kejriwal had said: "The council of ministers met this evening and decided to tender its resignation. The council also recommends dissolution of Delhi Assembly and immediate conduct of elections of the Delhi Legislative Assembly."

Kejriwal resigned yesterday, 49 days after he took charge of a minority Delhi government.

He took the step following a tumultuous day in the Assembly where combined Congress and BJP legislators "defeated" his AAP`s attempts to introduce its signal Jan Lokpal bill aimed to curb corruption in high places.
Jung had advised the Assembly against transacting the Jan Lokpal Bill which he said should have prior clearance of central government.
