New Delhi: Rebel Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Vinod Kumar Binny will on Saturday submit his reply to the notice issued to him by his party for indulging in activities aimed at tarnishing the image of the outfit.
Speaking to a news agency, Binny, who was elected from Laxmi Nagar constituency, today criticised his party colleague and Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti for revealing the Danish woman`s name, who was gang-raped earlier this week in Paharganj area. He demanded that party should take action against Bharti.
Binny reiterated that he would sit on a hunger strike at Jantar Mantar if Arvind Kejriwal-led Delhi government does not fulfil the promises made to people. “If I don`t get permission to sit at Jantar Mantar, I will protest somewhere else,” Binny added.
Meanwhile, AAP spokesperson Dilip Pandey described Binni`s attitude as "inappropriate". "He is showing signs of greediness...Necessary action will be taken after Binny replies to party`s notice,” Pandey added.
Binny had on Thursday accused AAP of "cheating" Delhiites by backtracking on its election promises and also called Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal a "dictator".
"You (Kejriwal) have become a dictator. Stop fooling the people of Delhi. All decisions in the party are taken in closed rooms by four-five people. Arvind gets angry if people express any differences with him. If anyone speaks against him, he starts shouting," Binny said.
He said the government, which took power on December 28, had backtracked on the promises it made, including in the water and power sectors. He pledged to resign from the Delhi Assembly if he was proved wrong.
Reacting to Binny`s allegations, AAP leader Yogendra Yadav had accused the newly-elected MLA of putting his personal ambition before the people`s hopes and expectations.
Yadav said Binny was upset and making "baseless accusations" against the party as he was denied a Cabinet berth and a ticket for 2014 General Elections.
Terming all the accusations made by his party colleague as false, Yadav questioned Binny`s silence when decisions were taken during party meetings. “Binny should not put personal ambition before the people`s hopes and expectations,” Yadav said.
