SDMC to build 12 new toilet blocks

The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has decided to construct 12 new toilet blocks in south Delhi area as part of a public-private- partnership.

New Delhi: The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has decided to construct 12 new toilet blocks in south Delhi area as part of a public-private- partnership.

SDMC and Indraprastha Gas Ltd. (IGL) on Friday signed an agreement in this regard here in the presence of Municipal Commissioner Puneet Kumar Goel and Managing Director, IGL, Narender Kumar.

The sites include Mohan Singh Market (R K Puram), DDA Market (Lado Sarai Village), Millennium Park (Along BRT) and opposite Apollo Metro Station.

After receipt of fund worth Rs 131.16 lakh from IGL, SDMC will complete the work in three months.

"We are committed to giving better civic services to citizens of Delhi and under the Corporate Social Responsibility we will explore more public sector undertaking funds under CSR for better civic amenities to them," Goel said.
