New Delhi: A road accident victim on Saturday was lying in a pool of blood as none from the passersby came for his help till Delhi Commission for Women chief Swati Maliwal helped him to reach hospital on time.
According to a Times of India report, Tilak Singh was bleeding profusely on the road after the autorickshaw overturned in which he was travelling near Kashmere Gate flyover.
Though the entire traffic came to a standstill, none bothered to lend a helping hand to the victim.
At last, Swati Maliwal, who was who was driving through the stretch, noticed him suffering in pain.
She then rushed the victim to a trauma centre in Civil Lines and spoke to the chief medical officer to sought immediate medical aid for him.
Singh has sustained injuries on his leg and has bruises on his body parts.
Later, Maliwal took to Twitter and appealed all to help the road accident victims.
“Saw accident victim bleeding on road. No one helped him. Immediately got him to Trauma Centre. I appeal, please help such victims,” Maliwal tweeted.
