Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Thursday released a report on the Odisha Government's Action Plan on climate change to be implemented in the next five years.
Optimistic that the action plan prepared by the state government would help reduce the impact on climate change, Patnaik said it would also protect the living and livelihood of the communities.
The Chief Minister said Odisha was the first state in the country to already implement a climate change action plan.
The action plan has been formulated for the departments of agriculture, water resources, energy, disaster management, forest and others to ensure the impact of the climate change do not affect the life and properties of the people in the state, state government officials said.
