Andaman and Nicobar Islands have only one Lok Sabha constituency. Indian National Congress has been the dominant party over the years, though in the last few times BJP also has made its presence felt.

In the last elections in 2009, BJP had managed to grab the seat from his Congress opponent who was earlier holding it. Andaman will go to polls on April 10, 2014.
Congress has already announced it candidate, Kuldeep Rai Sharma, who is the President of Andaman and Nicobar Pradesh Committee. Raghubir Singh Fisherman has been named as the Samajwadi Party contestant. BJP and BSP are yet to finalise their candidates.
It is being predicted by political ‘pandits’ that BJP will retain the lone seat but a close fight with the Congress is expected in the island.
