New Delhi: The recurring attacks on AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal is a matter of "concern", a senior Aam Aadmi Party leader said on Tuesday.
Party leaders are taking the issue seriously since Kejriwal is set to leave for Varanasi to take on the BJP`s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
“The series of attacks on Arvind is a matter of concern for us. When he can be attacked in Delhi, imagine what can happen in Varanasi,” the party leader told a news agency.
The leader said a large number of party supporters would be leaving for Varanasi soon to campaign for Kejriwal.
In a short span of one month, AAP convenor has been attacked five times, including twice in Delhi.
In the latest, Kejriwal was on Tuesday slapped by a man at Sultanpuri in the capital.
