New Delhi: Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Monday hit out at Narendra Modi, a day after the BJP`s prime ministerial candidate slammed Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for the Lok Sabha ticket to Adarsh scam-tainted Ashok Chavan.

On microblogging website Twitter, Digvijay Singh tweeted that there is no court case against Chavan, whereas Karnataka`s former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa is facing corruption charges in Court.

Singh also took a potshot at the impression of `Modi wave` created by the BJP across the country and backed Sharad Pawar.

In a scathing attack, the NCP chief had on Sunday said Narendra Modi needs to be "treated in a mental hospital for talking rubbish".

"Modi must have deranged as he talks rubbish things and he is needed to be treated in a mental hospital," the Union Agriculture Minister had said at a rally at Ghanswangi, while campaigning for NCP candidate Vijay Bhamble.
