Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the outgoing head of government, is expected to shift to a sprawling bungalow on Motilal Nehru Road after the General Elections 2014, reports said.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, the outgoing head of government, is expected to shift to a sprawling bungalow on Motilal Nehru Road after the General Elections 2014, reports said.

Work is underway at the bungalow and the deadline for the facility to be readied is before May 16, the day when the results of the Lok Sabha elections will be out.
There is speculation that Manmohan, who has said he will not run for another PM term, may shift to the bungalow in the first half of next month..

CPWD sources said the PMO has asked them to be ready with the house by April 30.

The 3 Motilal Nehru Road bungalow was home to former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit till February.
