Ambedkar Nagar, UP: Narendra Modi took a dig at Congress president Sonia Gandhi for rebuking his prime ministerial ambitions.

Speaking at a rally in Ambedkar Nagar in UP on Monday, Modi said, “Madam Sonia said Modi already thinks himself as prime minister. As the saying goes...Madam Soniaji aap ke muh me ghee-shakkar. But I can understand her pain.”
With today being the last day of campaigning for the eight phase, Modi also tore into the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party.

“SP, BSP, Congress are all the same, they fight in Lucknow and become friends in Delhi...they eat from the same plate and madam Sonia serves them, don`t make the mistake of thinking of them as separate entities,” Modi said to a rapturous crowd.

“In Delhi it is Maa-Bete ki sarkar, here it is Baap-Bete ki sarkar and then comes in Behen ji ki sarkar, when will be a sarkar (government) of the people be formed?,” he added.
Modi said it was time to bid goodbye to those who are only bothered about settling scores with each other. “We want to fulfil dreams of people,” he said.

Janta eeshwar hoti hai, janta ke darbar mein maangna bura nahi hota. Magar Sonia ji hum maangte zaroor hain par loot te nahi (The common public is God and hence it is not bad to ask them (for votes), but Sonia ji, we do ask but never loot),” he added.

The PM hopeful also raked up the Sardar Patel issue and alleged that the Congress had not justice to the iron man of India and his legacy.

“If Sardar Patel had been our PM then things would be different. This family did not do justice with him, repeatedly insulted him,” he said, while boasting of his `Stature of Unity` project.

Modi is also schedule to campaign in Amethi later today.
