Ahmedabad: In a heartrending incident, an eighty-year-old man, was mercilessly beaten to death by eight 'goondas' with hockey sticks in Gujarat's capital on September 01 night.
The incident happened last week, when eight youths barged into Abdul Qadir Sheikh's residence, dragged him out into the streets and brutally beat him for 30 minutes.
The chilling video of the incident was captured in a nearby CCTV camera.
It is being said, a local goon named Irfan, had gone to buy cigarettes at Abdul's shop on August 14. When asked for payment, Irfan refused to give money and hit Abdul's assistant.
To this Abdul strongly objected and had a heated argument with Irfan.
In order to take revenge, Irfan with seven others, reached the old man's house on September 01.
Shockingly, while the old man was being hit, nobody from the neighbourhood came to the rescue.
While hitting Abdul, the goons repeatedly warned the neighbours, not to come forward to help the old man.
The goons went away at 2:00 am and locals called the ambulance. He was admitted in a nearby hospital, but unfortunately, Abdul succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.
