Ahmedabad: Five more deaths were reported due to H1N1 virus in Gujarat on Sunday, taking the toll to 387 since January this year.

Apart from these deaths, 49 fresh cases of swine flu have been recorded across the state today, taking the total number of cases to 6,148 so far, the state government said in a statement.

"Gujarat has reported 5 swine flu deaths today, taking the total number of deaths to 387 while 49 new H1N1 (swine flu) cases were reported today," it said.

While two deaths were reported from Ahmedabad, one person

died each in Surendranagar, Arvalli and Kutch districts.

The state government also claimed that 5,242 patients have been cured till date.
