Swine flu claims 62-year old man's life in Tamil Nadu

A 62-year old man succumbed to swine flu at the Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital here, becoming the second fatal victim of the H1N1 virus in the district.

Salem (TN): A 62-year old man succumbed to swine flu at the Mohan Kumaramangalam Medical College Hospital here, becoming the second fatal victim of the H1N1 virus in the district.

Muniraj of Hosur in neighbouring Krishnagiri District was treated in Dharmapuri Government Hospital initially and shifted here after he tested positive for swine flu. But did not respond to treatment and died today, Deputy Director of Health Dr Jagadish Kumar said.

Hospital Dean Dr Mohan said two swine flu patients were undergoing treatment in the special ward of the hospital for H1N1 cases.

He said people who suffer from cold, frequent fever and diarrhea should approach government hospital for treatment.
