A 41-year-old man today succumbed to swine flu at the Government Hospital here, taking the toll to three deaths in three days.

Coimbatore: A 41-year-old man today succumbed to swine flu at the Government Hospital here, taking the toll to three deaths in three days.

Mohandas, who hailed from Dharapuram in nearby Tirupur district and was involved in manufacturing automobile spare parts, was admitted with the symptoms of the H1N1 influenza a week ago, after his return from Pune, hospital officials said.

He died around 7.15 AM, they said.

When contacted a senior official said the deceased had been recovering and was about to be discharged in a day or two before his condition deteriorated.

Doctors have to ascertain the cause of sudden deterioration of his condition and subsequent death, the official said.

A 39-year-old woman succumbed to swine flu on Sunday and a 60-year-old woman died yesterday.
