One more person died of swine flu in Kashmir Valley, taking the toll to six, with 15 more testing positive for the virus in the last 24 hours, health officials said Tuesday.

"One patient, who was admitted on February 9 as a case of Brain Hemorrhage but tested positive for H1N1 also, expired today," PRO SKIMS, Kulsoom Bhat said here.

She said the number of disease-related deaths in the Valley was six now.

The official said 15 more patients have tested positive for the virus in the last 24 hours taking the total number of infected persons since October last year to 153.

She said two patients, who were undergoing treatment for the disease at SKIMS hospital, were discharged today.

"Presently, the total number of patients admitted in SKIMS isolation ward is nine," she said, adding, two patients were on Ventilator.

Bhat said as many as 230 patients with respiratory symptoms were seen at the Special OPD of the hospital today and 66 samples were taken for testing.

The reports for the tests conducted today would be available tomorrow.

She said the hospital had procured vaccines and that 50 doctors and paramedical staff received the vaccination today. "SKIMS has procured 4,000 H1N1 masks and is likely to receive 5,000 to 7,000 Tamiflu tablets," she said.
