Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on Wednesday greeted the people on Diwali.
"Diwali symbolises joy and happiness and people celebrate the victory of good over evil and light over darkness," Devvrat said in a statement.
He hoped the festival brings joy and happiness in the lives of the people.
The chief minister expressed hope that the festival of lights would enlighten the people and bring prosperity to them besides strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and unity.
